Father Collins Ashu was born and raised in Cameroon, in central-western Africa. He graduated from Cameroon’s University of Yaounde II with a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Fr. Ashu received a Bachelor’s degree in Sacred Theology from St. Thomas Aquinas University in Rome. He received a Master of Arts degree in Catholic Philosophical Studies, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Joseph Seminary in Yonkers.
Fr. Ashu was ordained a priest in May 2023 and was assigned to St. Raymond Parish as a parochial vicar in July. In addition to helping out at the parish, Fr. Ashu helps St. Raymond Elementary School’s Middle School students prepare for the sacraments. This is Fr. Ashu’s first assignment.
