Upon notification of death, contact a funeral director and with his/her assistance:

1. Plan the viewing, transportation, flowers, clothing and prayers cards.
2. Schedule the funeral Mass.
3. Order death certificate(s) for Social Security, insurance policy, bank, employer, etc.
4. Contact the cemetery to schedule burial in the case of a pre-existing location or to purchase a burial place.
5. Select the type of interment: cremation, in ground or above ground.

 
Please note: An o riginal deed and/or affidavit is required for every interment. [What affidavit?] All affidavits must be notarized with a clear copy of a valid photo ID attached.
